Well, all is said and done at LTR and all I can say is: “Dang, that was fun”. This is stuck in my head because that is what I said at the end of every section of that enduro. Dust, dehydration, leg cramps. Nothing could wipe the smile off of my face.

Swede Tobias Burman rode his first AMA National Enduro in Texas last weekend. He battled very hot temperatures, rode a Gas Gas 300 EC he never raced before, saw terrain he never encountered in his live and finished a respectable 20th place overall. With the support of Gofasters, Gas Gas and Off Road Champions he is planning to come back for the next round in Michigan. Read what he had to say about the NEPG race in Texas. Click here. Stefan Merriman and the Aprilia RXV 5.5 were protagonists of the second round of the Italian Enduro Championship. On Saturday, the Australian flirted with victory as he finished just five seconds behind the Frenchman, Aubert. On Sunday, he finished in 5th after a nice comeback. Both days, he was the fastest E3 rider. More.

The conflict between the 2008 US Trophy Team and WORCS’ boss Sean Reddish has been resolved!!. The conflicting Utah WORSC round will still take place but this will be a no points paying event for the Pro class. This will allow the two WORCS contenders and selected Trophy riders Kurt Caselli and Ricky Dietrich to attend the ISDE in Greece and not loose any points on their rivals. Great news!! For more about the issue on the WORSC web site click here.

During Saturday’s training Vita Kuklik season went to bad to worse when he got an infection in his finger and had to have it operated the next day. Vita said it was a small operation, but the problem is that the next European Enduro is this weekend in Portugal. Kuklik was discharge from the hospital today (may 6) and will fly to Portugal tomorrow morning and try to race with his injury. Kuklik’s season did not start very well still having problems with his wrist that he broke in Chile. Before Christmas he had surgery an started training again at the begin of February. He still had a lot of pain in his wrist and a big problem with his fingers. He needed surgery again just before the WEC round in Sweden. His hand was still not up to par and feeling bad. Vita: “I had constant pain and after 3-4 minutes into a test, I lost felling in my fingers. I visited my doctor frequently and did lots of therapy. My wrist is slowly getting better, but it is not not a 100%”. Vita finished respectfully two second places at the first UEM in Sicily with what he said a 60% functioning wrist.

2009 310 TE

Husqvarna presented the brand new TC 450 and TE 310 2009 at the Barcelona Motorcycle Show on May 7, a worldwide preview. Husqvarna MY 2009 models made their worldwide at the Barcelona Show with the TC 450 and TE 310. The new TE 310 takes the racing Enduro four stroke range up to 4 models. The displacement is very well known and requested by those who enjoy Enduro riding, but not as professionals, and look for a higher displacement than 250, but with the same maneuverability of a small four stroke. The TC 450 has been renewed thanks to the experience gained with test sessions and development by Andrea Bartolini and the information given by riders Thomas Allier and Christophe Martin who are currently racing in the MX3 World Championship. The two bikes can be seen for the first time by the public during the next Motocross World Championship GP to be held in Mantova on May 18th.
