During Saturday’s training Vita Kuklik season went to bad to worse when he got an infection in his finger and had to have it operated the next day. Vita said it was a small operation, but the problem is that the next European Enduro is this weekend in Portugal. Kuklik was discharge from the hospital today (may 6) and will fly to Portugal tomorrow morning and try to race with his injury. Kuklik’s season did not start very well still having problems with his wrist that he broke in Chile. Before Christmas he had surgery an started training again at the begin of February. He still had a lot of pain in his wrist and a big problem with his fingers. He needed surgery again just before the WEC round in Sweden. His hand was still not up to par and feeling bad. Vita: “I had constant pain and after 3-4 minutes into a test, I lost felling in my fingers. I visited my doctor frequently and did lots of therapy. My wrist is slowly getting better, but it is not not a 100%”. Vita finished respectfully two second places at the first UEM in Sicily with what he said a 60% functioning wrist.
