Round two of the district 36 series kicked off in Marysville, Ca. The notorious E-srteet event is always a fun and exciting event, this venue is unique as it is, more of a motocross or Worcs style event, it is also in a river bed, so it is all sand and gets super rough with huge whoops. With the races being three miles long and 1:30 to 2 hours, there are a lots of tongues hanging out by the end of the race.
The conditions were perfect with a little overcast in the sky.

The final race of the day was the AA and A race. The track had taken a beating with three races already going off that morning. This race will always draw a few local motocross racers with the course being moto orientated. Arik Swan being the top pro showing up, he was going to have to run a fast race with the young talent coming up, Justin Bonita coming off his series opener win, Steven Godman hungry for his first win and so as Sanders. This was my first race back from my shoulder injury, five months off the bike!!!

Arik Swan got off to the hole shot and put in a good sprint right from the gate, I worked my way to second early the first lap but with the lack of blood in my arms worked my way back very steadily, Justin Sanders ran a strong second until his motor let loose. GOT trainee Justin Bonita and Alex Dorsey had a strong ride, battling back and fourth for the first half the race. I rode around with massive arm pump for the first hour and twenty minutes, the good thing was, I got to race with my brother Patrick for the first hour witch was really fun, the second hour things started to change, my arms loosened up and I started working my way forward in the pack. Dorsey's bike blew a radiator hose and had to pull in the pits for a quick fix dropping him a lap, Bonita started to real Swan in and the last couple laps looked to be a barn burner until Swany crashed hard the last lap, taking a ride in the blue and red. I realed in Godman the last half hour to move me into second with all the chaos going on in front of me. Bonita ended up taking the win for the second time in a row. GOT Trainee Anson Maloney had a good race holding down seventh.
