Now that the US WEC round seems to more secure, we can give a little more information about the 2 North American Rounds.
Drew Smith from W.E.R. is committed to make the second US WEC a fact. Sponsor conflicts are close to being resolved and with a new 70 room hotel being completed in Hancock by race date, it should be much better for the riders. Chuck Weir from the AMA worked on a different location when things did not look good for Hancock. He found Randy Hawkins in South Carolina willing to organize the event. The problem raise that the 2 event were now to far apart and back to back weekends was not possible.Three weekends in North America for the WEC teams would not be well excepted and they went back to get Hancock and Drew Smith to reconsider making a commitment towards a WEC event. Riders interested is up from last year and several top riders are already making plans to make the trip to New York. If you are an AA rider, top GNCC/WORCS/OMA rider or have previous ISDE exprerience, this is a event that you don’t want to miss. If you are interested in voluntering your time to this great event, please contact Drew Smith at 908-637-6385.
The Canadian round will have a different Xtreme and Enduro test compare to last year. Both were hard to get to last year, especially the Enduro test, and with these changes it should be an even better (spectating) event.
Lawrence Hacking and his crew are committed to the WEC and are looking forward putting on a world class event again.
